Thane: A 17-year-old disabled girl was killed by her mother in Thane city, police said on Monday. After killing, he took the dead body and dumped it with the help of an unidentified woman.
This incident happened in the Gaudevi area of Naupara. It is still unclear why her mother killed her disabled daughter. A video of the cremation of the body has gone viral on social media.
The girl has been physically disabled since birth. He could not walk or talk and was confined to bed. Police said the disabled girl had been suffering from a serious illness since February 15.
A notification said the girl's mother administered the drug to her on the night of February 19, resulting in her death. The next day, around 1.30 pm, the woman, her mother, and an unidentified woman came and dumped the dead body in a white sheet in a car at an unknown location.
Police said they are investigating the case to identify the remains, the location of the remains, and the involvement of a third woman.
A video circulating on social media shows CCTV footage of three women carrying the body in a cloth wrapped in a car and carrying it.
Naupara police informed the media that a case has been registered against the three women under sections 103 (murder), 238 (tampering with evidence), and 3(5) (criminal act committed by more than one person for the same purpose) of the Indian Penal Code.
But when the media spoke to the girl's father, the girl's father insisted that his daughter was still alive and that his daughter was taken elsewhere for treatment as the treatment in Thane was too expensive.
