Bengaluru: The suspicious death of a 33-year-old man, who worked in a private pharmaceutical company on drug testing, was reported in Jalahalli, north Bangalore.

The deceased, a resident of Kalaburagi, was living with his younger brother in a small rented house in Jalahalli, where the dead body was found.

The man was shifted to a private hospital in critical condition where the doctors declared him brought dead.

His brother filed a complaint and cast doubt on the private company's drugs, prompting the police to file a report of his elder brother’s unusual death and investigate the death.

According to the complainant, his elder brother underwent two tests in the month of December and the second time he was admitted to the ICU of a private hospital. After being discharged from the hospital, he attend drug testing sessions.

The deceased was put up in a Paine Guest Accommodation at Electronics City by the company he worked for. But later he moved to a small rented house with his brother. According to the deceased's brother, his elder brother used to attend the testing sessions twice a week.

A police officer initially told the coroner DH that the primary cause of death was a blood clot in the heart, but the brother of the deceased raised suspicions and started the investigation.

"The exact cause of the condition in which the deceased was admitted cannot be determined only till the post-mortem report is available. We will start the investigation only after the post-mortem report is available," the investigating officer told the DH.
