Gujarat: A schoolgirl from Sabarkantha village in Gujarat received a standing ovation after delivering a speech on Republic Day on January 26, 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.'.

Within days of her speech, the student was allegedly raped by a school teacher.

The girl faces this big storm in her life with only the upcoming poll exam and her dream of becoming a cop.

This incident happened to the girl on February 7th, and exactly three weeks later, on February 27th, she was fully prepared for her exam.

It has been reported that the accused teacher has been arrested.

The girl said, "I always dreamed of becoming a police officer. My subjects in studies are science and mathematics. I will choose my academics based on board results.".

The 15-year-old realized that the family was very poor. Her parents live by farming.

The 33-year-old school teacher allegedly took the student to a hotel on the pretext of celebrating a birthday and tortured her and threatened to fail her board exams.

"We don't want people and relatives to come and disturb her studies every day," said the victim's uncle.

The girl lives in a joint family, and in that family, most of the members earn their livelihood by doing agricultural work. The girl's uncle said, "We don't want our future generation to live like us. We don't own the land, so we understand the importance of education.".

Her school principal praised her for her tenacity. He said, "She was a bright student in school, never missing a class. The courage and resilience she faced during her challenges was inspiring.".
