In a shocking case of examination malpractice, a primary school teacher in Madhya Pradesh's Betul district was caught on camera assisting students by solving their Mathematics exam on the classroom blackboard.

The teacher, identified as Sangeeta Vishwakarma, was assigned as an invigilator but was seen openly writing answers for students. A video of the incident, recorded by an unidentified individual, quickly went viral on social media, triggering swift action from authorities.

Betul Collector Narendra Kumar Suryavanshi ordered an immediate probe into the matter. The investigation confirmed that Vishwakarma had facilitated cheating, leading to her suspension. Further disciplinary proceedings are underway. Shilpa Jain, Assistant Commissioner of the Tribal Affairs Department, condemned the act, stating that the teacher had blatantly misused her position.

Authorities are now considering action against the examination centre head and assistant centre head, with the possibility of filing an FIR if necessary. In response, the education department has issued a stern warning, stressing that any involvement in academic misconduct will lead to severe repercussions. Officials have also been directed to enhance monitoring mechanisms at examination centres to prevent such violations in the future.
