Udaipur: A 40-year-old woman was kidnapped in Udaipur on Wednesday night on the pretext of giving her a lift in a car. Then four men raped the woman in a moving car. The criminals then escape by dropping the iron rod that hits the woman and a neutron field.
The tragic incident took place in the area under Pratapnagar police station.
The police immediately reached the spot after receiving information about the incident and took the injured woman to the hospital. The police have registered a case of gang rape, kidnapping, and torture.
The victim told the police that she had come to Pratap Nagar for a job on Wednesday. Then around 9:00 p.m. she was waiting for a car by the roadside to take her home. But after a long wait, she did not get any car. Suddenly, the woman asked for a lift from a car, which had four men in it. After getting into the car, it did not stop at the woman's destination but instead took the woman towards Dabok.
The woman further alleged that the accused suddenly attacked her and gang-raped her in a moving car. she was then taken to a college gate and beaten with an iron rod, then dumped in a secluded area and escaped.
The accused seriously injured the woman's face and head. The woman lost consciousness as a result of the injury. After regaining consciousness, she went to the college gate and was offered water by a guard there.
From the college gate, the woman walked to a hotel and reported the incident to the hotel guard. Then the Dabok police reached the spot and took the victim to the hospital.
DISP Chagan Purohit informed that the police authorities are checking the CCTV footage in the surrounding area. The accused will be arrested soon.
The real identity of the woman has been withheld due to the sexual assault case as per the Supreme Court order.
