Rohtak: The body of a 22-year-old woman Congress worker was found in a suitcase at Sampla bus stand in Rohtak district on Saturday.

Forensic experts arrive and investigate the incident. On investigation, they said that the dead woman had a veil around her neck and henna on her hands.

In this case, police suspect that the woman was suffocated to death before being placed in the suitcase.

The deceased woman has been identified as Himani Narwal, a resident of Kathura village. He also participated in various political events along with Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra and Rohtak MP Deependra Hooda.

Vijendra Singh (SHO, Sampla Police Station) said the girl was believed to have been murdered and her body dumped on the road. This incident is under further investigation.

He added, "We have received information that the dead body was found on the highway. We are investigating the matter, and further action will be taken after filing a case."

"We suspect the girl was taken somewhere else and killed, then her body was dumped in a suitcase. CCTV footage is being analysed to find out when exactly the suitcase was left at the spot," Singh told media.

A case was registered against unidentified persons under Sections 103 (1) and 238 (a) of the Indian Penal Code based on the complaint of Sub Inspector Narendra.
