Faridabad: The kidnappers killed a 9-year-old child after the parents complained to the police after demanding a ransom of Rs 5 lakh. The Faridabad police arrested the person involved on Tuesday.

A nine-year-old boy from Faridabad's NIT police station area had been missing since Monday afternoon. Police said his body was found stuffed in a sack and dumped on the roadside in the Mongla area on Tuesday afternoon.

The sack lying on the roadside was crushed by a vehicle, resulting in the child's body being mutilated. The child's parents reported her missing to the police on Tuesday, and the body was identified by looking at her clothes. The body was then taken to the hospital morgue.

The family informed the police that the boy went to play in the field after eating at 2 pm on Monday and then did not return home.

The police have started an investigation after filing a complaint. The investigating police have learned that a pistol was found lying next to a petrol pump in the Manger area, and it was broken after being hit by several vehicles. Then blood started coming out of a bag, and it was seen that there was a dead body inside the bag. After informing the police, the police immediately arrived there. Then the NID police took the child's father to the scene, but the child's body was not identifiable. The child's father can identify the body by the clothes it was wearing. The body was then taken to the morgue.

A few hours after the complaint was filed, the police arrested the accused, Ajit Singh, a resident of SGM Nagar. The accused confessed to everything to the police. He said that he did this act because he was in debt.

A police spokesperson said, "The accused admitted that he used to come to the ground every day to play cricket and that the child would also come and play there. On Monday morning, Vinayak came to play in that field, and then he took the child to his house and kept him there. Later, he killed him."
