30 dead SAP been confirmed so far due to stampered at Sangam nose in the mahakumbh Mela on Wednesday morning CM Yogi Adityanath became emotional while talking to the media on Wednesday evening about the accident he told that after treatment many people have gone home with their family he said that due to too much pressure in prayagraj the roads were choked. The administration was busy getting them opened.

CM Yogi said that the government has ordered a judicial inquiry into the accident. He said that a three member judicial enquiry committee headed by justice Harsh Kumar will look into the matter apart from justice Harsh Kumar for my DG VK Gupta and retired IAS VK Singh have been included in the committee. The CM also said that the police will also investigate the accident.

CM Yogi has announced a compensation of Rs 25 lakh to the victim families.

Earlier, DIG Vaibhav Krishna of Mahakumbh Mela said that 30 devotees have died in the stampede that took place between 1 and 2 am in Mahakumbh. Out of these, 25 have been identified. DIG Mahakumbh Vaibhav Krishna said that 90 people were taken to the hospital after the accident.

that at the time of Mauni Amavasya bath, before the Brahma Muhurta, between 1 and 2 o'clock in the night, a huge crowd gathered on the way to the Akhara, due to which the barricades on the other side broke. The crowd on this side went to the other side and started crushing the devotees waiting for the Brahma Muhurta... The administration immediately launched a rescue operation and created a green corridor for the ambulances and took 90 injured to the hospital. Unfortunately, 30 devotees among them died.

He said that 25 of them have been identified, while five are yet to be identified. Some of them are from other states too.. four from Karnataka, one from Assam, one from Gujarat. Some injured devotees have been taken away by their relatives. 36 injured are being treated at the local medical college. For the convenience of the devotees, the administration issued a Helpline no. 1920.
